Composer's Note:
The celestial equator: The great circle of the celestial sphere, lying in the same plane as the earth's equator.
Caelestia centres around seven of the constellations through which the celestial equator passes, with each of these forming the inspiration for a different piece. Recorded in October 2022 with a 29-piece string orchestra in Sofia, the album also features an overlapping cyclic string quartet passage in Serpens, plus soaring soprano vocals from LA-based singer Ayana Haviv on Monoceros, Caelestia and Ophiuchus.
