The Earth Weeps is a straightforward little piece, for solo treble, soprano or alto with harp accompaniment, sung simply, gently and quietly. This contrasts strongly with the horror of its message. It is a warning. If we don’t end the wanton destruction of nature by our own actions, Mother Earth has something in store for us. The end of Mankind.
The harp accompaniment is also suitable for pianoforte.
